What should be considered an Emergency?
· Difficulty urinating / (straining or attempting to urinate without passing urine)
· Has been HIT BY A CAR / Vehicle
· Is Bleeding
· Has trouble breathing or labored breathing or choking
· Is suddenly bloated
· Is suddenly severely ill (vomiting, diarrhea)
· Is convulsing / seizuring
· Has ingested poison (bring product in original container), chocolate, onions, Tylenol, or other known toxins
· Is unconscious
· Is in hard labor for over 1 hour, or not producing puppies/kittens when in labor
· Has any type of eye problem (redness, inflammation, squinting, increased drainage)
· If gums are white, blue or purple

Directions From West of the Twin Cities metro area:
Take Interstate 94 East to Hwy 280 (a left exit).
Go north on 280 to the Larpenteur Avenue exit.
Turn right (east), for approximately one and a half miles to Gortner Avenue.
Turn right (south) on Gortner Avenue. Follow Gortner past three stop signs.
The entrance to the Small Animal Hospital parking lot is the first driveway on the right after the Fitch Avenue stop sign.
For the Large Animal Hospital parking lot, follow Gortner Avenue south to Commonwealth Avenue.
Turn right (west) one block to Boyd Avenue.
Turn right on Boyd and make another right into the parking lot. You will need a parking permit to park in these lots. One will be provided to you after you check in at the front desk.
